Lactic Acid is unique in the AHA family due to its ability to be a highly rejuvenating exfoliant at relatively high pH levels (suitable for all skin types — meaning it doesn’t have to sting to be effective), without causing notable irritation or downtime. Another unique characteristic is Lactic Acid’s ability to actually increase the skin’s retention of moisture.

Mandelic Acid is derived from bitter almond. As one of the largest AHA molecules, Mandelic Acid penetrates the epidermis more slowly and uniformly. Salicylic Acid is a BHA. Unlike AHAs that break down protein bonds, Salicylic Acid breaks down lipid (fat) bonds. That makes it ideally suited to unclog and reduce the look of pores. WHEN: Exfoliate every two weeks for two consecutive nights.

HOW: After cleansing, pat skin dry. Massage 3-4 pumps into skin. Rinse after 10 minutes.
